A lovely one day visit to Brockholes Nature Reserve for a catered event. The venue is absolutely beautiful, with everything set in a peaceful natural setting that makes the whole experience feel calm and refreshing. There’s something special about being surrounded by nature while also learning and enjoying a well organised event. The atmosphere was very peaceful, with plenty of opportunities to see birds and wildlife up close, which added to the experience. The facilities were good, parking was easy, and everything felt well thought out and accessible. Overall, a really enjoyable and relaxing day in a stunning natural environment.

I visited Brockholes on a warm afternoon and it was exactly what I needed. I really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere, the beautiful views across the water, and the chance to slow down and simply enjoy nature for a few hours. The visitor centre is unique and blends perfectly into the landscape, and the walking trails are well maintained and easy to follow. One of the things I liked most was how calm everything felt. Even with other visitors around, there was plenty of space to relax, watch the wildlife and listen to the sounds of nature. A lovely place to escape the daily routine and recharge. I’ll definitely be returning.

Really nice place to stop for a break if you are travelling with kids. Very convenient, just next to M6. Nice spacious playground, very well maintained. The car park cost £6 but I was ok as you can make your contribution to keep place tidy and well preserved 👍

Such a lovely place. Plenty of parking £6, pay machine cash or card. Lots of trails, where you can cycle or walk suitable for all ages. Childrens park, events, cafe, gift shop, toillets. And beautiful lake views, deer, birds, dragonflies, butterflies, fish, bees, wild flowers.

Brockholes is an absolutely superb place for a family day out! We visited with my children, and it was the perfect environment for them to explore. The atmosphere is very peaceful, making it a great escape from the daily rush. We spent a lot of time at the hides observing the birds, which the kids loved. Beyond the birdlife, we were incredibly lucky with wildlife sightings; we encountered deer, playful squirrels, and even tiny field mice scurrying in the undergrowth. It is a fantastic educational experience and a beautiful spot to recharge your batteries. Highly recommended for any nature-loving family!
