Excellent Elizabethan build. Privately owned. And acceptable fee to enter. Good gardens. An area dedicated to games. Cafe in the stables area. An old manor owned by EH, but no fee to enter it, is in the halls grounds. There us a tread wheel at the back of it. Go look for it.

Wow! I was blown away by this stunning property. I'm a National Trust member, so I visit quite a lot of properties, but Burton Agnes Hall is so much nicer. The family have had the Hall for 900 years and still live on the estate but no longer in the Hall. The Hall is bright and airy, there were old and more contemporary items in the hall that all looked right together. The Walled Garden, seems to go on forever with lots of interesting areas. So many rose varieties and other beautiful flowers as well as vegetables. All looked after by just 4 gardeners and 2 volunteers who go once a week. The plants the have for sale all come from the gardens and look healthy and cared for. The Church is lovely too. I was lucky enough to be in the church on my own and therefore had to sing. The acoustics weren't the best though. There is the most tiniest brass cross on the lady chapel alter, it made me chuckle to myself. The gravestones have all been lifted and placed against a wall. Unfortunately you couldn't read a lot of the gravestones as they have eroded. The inside cafe area is being modernised. They have freshly baked pizzas amongst other things. All the staff in all areas were very knowledgeable and friendly. This is one plece I want yo bring my husband to at the end of November. You will not be disappointed if you visit. Thank you for opening up your beautiful ancestral home.

A great place to visit for a lovely day out! So glad we visited- we all enjoyed ourselves (age range from late 20's to just under 100yrs) It's very dog friendly and there's a beautiful woodland walk. Loved the wooden sculptures, was great fun looking at them all. Loved that it was all wheelchair friendly, with ramps and gravel paths/flat slabs all the way around. We bought garden tickets and thoroughly enjoyed looking around. The gardens were stunning with so many plants/flowers to look at. One of the best we've been too. The cafe was also lovely, I'd recommend the flapjack- it was delicious!! Would 100% recommend a visit here if you are in the area.

Beautiful Elizabethan house and garden with Norman Manor House. Staff extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Don't miss the adjacent Burton Agnes Church which is well worth a visit!

Excellent house and gardens to visit full of amazing architecture, fittings and furniture. Fascinating family history and informative guides on hand to talk to. Compared to other stately homes of this size very reasonable entrance fee too. If coming from Bridlington direction beware Google maps as the car park is 2 turnings further along main road.
