On 21th August 2026, We had a lovely time at Butterfly World at Preston Park in Stockton-on-Tees! 🦋🌸 It was such a beautiful and relaxing place to visit, and the children really enjoyed seeing all the colourful butterflies flying around. It was a lovely experience for the whole family, and we would definitely come back again. The staff were friendly and the atmosphere was really nice. A great little place for a family day out, especially if you have children who love animals and nature. 🦋❤️ Definitely worth a visit!
So pretty and nice to see all the butterflies, there is also another reptile bit which also has insects, monkeys, meerkats and other reptiles. But I do feel like some of the enclosures are a bit small for certain animals.
Been years ago. Wasn't as many butterflies available yet. May be too early. But still enjoyed it. Little cafe outside near playback. Some picnic benches too disabled toilet facilities.
I went on a Friday at 11:30am. Inside, it was really beautiful, with lots of pretty plants and trees, and, of course, lots of pretty butterflies. When you come in you enter a gift shop and you don’t need to pay for tickets in advance. It is quite warm in the butterfly room but can’t complain since that’s the habitat butterflies survive best in. There were so many species of butterfly and it tells you where they are all from with a poster on the wall. There is a large pond with Koi fish which you can feed with the feed from the gift shop. There is also a mammal and reptile room with meerkats, which were very cute—overall had an amazing time.
Really nice small butterfly enclosure. A little pricey if you only stay for 1 walk around (around 20-30mins) but you do get unlimited access untill the end of the day. Lots of butterflies to see as well as the animals and reptiles. Definitely worth a visit.
