Stunning Fortress and Views! Breathtaking medieval castle with spectacular, panoramic views from the imposing high stone walls. The military museum inside adds great historical depth. A must visit landmark in North Wales!
I visited here last week and it wel' worth the 12.50 ticket.. I really loved how you could walk completely around the castle and see the great views from above. Actually a gd place to visit when it's raining as your mostly sheltered Also one of the few castles the walls go into the town also
Caernarfon Castle is simply outstanding and an absolute must-visit in Wales. It’s by far one of the most impressive medieval castles I’ve ever explored. The sheer size of the fortress is incredible, and there is so much to see that you can easily spend several hours wandering through its towers, walls, gatehouses, and exhibitions. Every part of the castle feels grand, and the views from the battlements over the town are spectacular. If you're planning to visit several castles in Wales, I highly recommend getting a CADW Explorer Pass. We bought a 7-day pass for two adults for £63, which gives unlimited entry to many historic sites managed by CADW. It offers fantastic value for money if you want to explore more than just one or two castles. After visiting Caernarfon, Conwy,Harlech, Beaumaris, and the other incredible castles, I can confidently say it was one of the best travel investments we made.
Great place for a visit if your into castles or history. Lovely well maintained castle with plenty to keep you occupied. Lots of stairs and towers to climb. Great museum inside.
I really enjoyed visiting this castle, the staff and volunteers are very helpful and friendly. There is the museum to the royal Welsh fusiliers which is definitely worth a look. Most of the castle is accessible but the staircases are very steep and narrow. There is parking right next to the castle but it is quite expensive. It is £15 admission and it takes about 2 hours to see the whole thing.
