I booked to come to Clay Art with 3 friends who have never been before. I booked this on the 23rd of April with no issues, there was a 12pm and a 2pm session available. We chose 2pm. We were all excited to spend our bank holiday doing this together. I received a confirmation email the day before with a friendly reminder for my upcoming session. We arrived to the barbican and paid for parking, which in itself is not cheap. As we arrived at the shop, it was closed with a small sign in the window. Firstly, If this was advertised on your website, it was not clearly advertised. I have recently checked, there is no indication on your social media either that you are closed. Secondly, you should not be able to book on the website for a slot, if you are not going to be open. We feel we wasted money on parking and a planned activity where we would have all spent money in your business. As you can imagine, we left feeling extremely disappointed and let down by a small business. I emailed first to give the benefit of the doubt but have not received a reply.

We booked this for our nieces birthday. We hadn't ever done it before but now I'm hooked and can't wait to collect our pottery in a week or so, its so relaxing and we definitely plan on coming back to paint more pottery. The staff are very helpful and friendly. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.

What a superb place to come with family or friends and have a go at painting some clay pots, figurines, vases, cups, mugs and other items that take your fancy. Natasha who is in charge of Clayart is very helpful in helping you choose your work piece and deciding your colours ,after your painting is complete your work is put into the kiln for firing and glazed.

Took my children here and they absolutely loved it my son painted a shark and my daughter painted a mug, the website does state that items start at £5 but to be honest they are so small they are not worth doing, I didn’t partake as was trying to keep the cost down due to being a single parent but my children had a blast and were looking forward to seeing the finished result which I could collect the following week. Will definitely take them back again I may even go with friends too as it’s great for all ages

I took my 8yr old daughter here on 27 August 2022. We decorated a mermaid, lighthouse and a plate. The staff are so lovely and friendly. I explained we needed the pottery quickly as we were going back to Japan and they made sure it was ready within a few days. Such a wonderfully relaxing experience, great value for money.
