I love going to Damhead Miniature Railway. This is a great way to spend an hour or two. I saw it featured on Paddy Rafferty's off the beaten track travel show and have been 3 times this year. We took our nephew's back to the Santa special yesterday and they loved it. Highly recommend Check the schedule before going as it is on a restricted timetable.

Visited here on the bank holiday Monday in July and it was a great day out! £3 per adult and £2 per child per ride on either steam or electric train. The track is long enough that it is good value but not too long for littles who are easily distracted. Big picnic and play area over the bridge with picnic benches and a mini train track around the outside too. There are a few miniatures in the barns and also hot and cold drinks available for £1 or so. All the volunteers were so helpful and friendly, my 2 had a ball!

A lovely miniature railway for a bargain price. Tea and coffee onsite and a few trinkets for sale too. Our 2 year olds absolutely had a ball.

What a lovely friendly group. Passionate about their hobby. Underrated attraction in the area. Hours and hours of work spent to make this a firm favourite with children of all ages.

What a lovely treasure we discovered after friends had highly recommended it. Enthusiasts display their model railways and children get the wonderful experience of going on a miniature steam train! The track is longer than expected, staff/enthusiasts are so informative, kind and have an infectious passion. Wonderful experience for children to participate in, we had a magical time. Costs are far too cheap for experience! It's a "must do" if in the area and only takes up to an hour to explore all, we had to go on train twice! We had so much fun! Thank you to all that run this and kindly open it up for the public!!
