Typical British seaside, bright and breezy. There are car parks within a short walk of the seafront. Public toilets, places to eat including takeaways, children's cart and funfair rides. At the other end of the beach, around 20 minutes walk there is also a quiet area with a nature reserve.

Dawlish Warren Beach is a good beach, especially well suited for locals and families with kids. Right at the entrance, there are plenty of games and fairground-style rides, which makes it very convenient and entertaining for children. There’s also a small go-karting track that kids will really enjoy. The beach itself is decent, and if you walk a bit further along, you’ll come across Elephant Rock, which is a nice spot to explore. One of the highlights is the railway line that runs right next to the shore—the train passing so close to the sea looks amazing and is definitely worth seeing. Getting there is easy, with a direct train that takes around 10 minutes from Exeter St David’s railway station. There’s also good parking available, which is a plus. Overall, it’s a pleasant place for a relaxed family outing with entertainment options nearby.

Wanted to check out Red Rock beach and natural arch just a short walk to the right of Dawlish Warren. Flat path runs parallel to the railway. Various coffee bars, amusement arcades and shops nearby. Pay and display car parking.

Dawlish Warren in the winter. Plenty of parking then a quick walk under the bridge and your on to the beach. The local pub is open however most of the shops were closed. Many years ago this was my families goto place for our holidays although it was in the summer. So loads of memories here. Beach and surrounding area is very clean and the walk down the Warren is lovely. Really enjoyed our couple of hours here. Whatever the weather its ideal for a good walk and some fresh sea air also for dog walking as there was quite a few enjoying the beach.

The beach is beautiful and stretches on almost all the way to Exmouth. It's right next to the nature reserve allowing visitors to enjoy both the wildlife and the foamy blue sea. Amusements and a small theme park are close by as well as a selection of shops and a bar. It's within a very close walking distance of all the nearby holiday parks so it is absolutely worth visiting whether you are staying there or just checking out the warren
