Lovely quiet beach accessed via the smugglers tunnel city through the rock.

Ness cove beach is fantastic, accessed by Smugglers Tunnel. Plenty of Parking in two car parks just a few minutes walk away. Awesome ice creams available from The Ness Gift Shop along with everything you’ll need for a day at the beach. There is also a lovely fish pond outside a traditional thatched Cottage, tourist information, cafe Ode in the car park, Ness House Hotel, Great little zoo and even pitch & putt golf course

Lovely beach, so unique going through the Smugglers Tunnel down to the beach Park in the car park, plenty of spaces. The entrance to the tunnel is just to the left of the Shaldon Wildlife Park. Public toilets beside the entrance too. Lovely cafe beside the car park Very unique, loved it! The beach is lovely too, Torquays gorgeous red stones and sand, lots of lovely big clam shells to pick up, razor clams, and watching the cormorants diving. Lovely place, Not wheelchair/buggy accessible

Fairly quiet when we were there, beach/sea shoes are a must here, as climbing over the stones into the sea can be a bit precarious, and a few spikey crabs about the place you wouldn't want to step on for their sake and your own. Views brilliant, worth the little walk. Car park about £5 for 4 hours not that bad when used to paying London prices. Nice ice cream from the shop by the pond, think it was £11.50 for three double scoop 99's

An interesting place mainly because of the way you can get to the beach and also because of the red color of the sand and stones. The only way to get there is through the Smugglers' Tunnel located next to Shaldon Zoo. There is also a large parking lot with public toilets, which is important because there are no public toilets on the beach. The beach is dog-friendly at all times of the year.
