Had a great day as usual at any National trust venue. Staff helpful and friendly, a lovely house and gardens. A working water wheel that they use, again the gentleman who was working there was very helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend joining the National Trust and you get loads of benefits from being a member!

Great location, just off A39. As national trust members it was a treat to visit for the first time. Parking easier than mentioned in previous post. Free transport to castle on request as steep walk. Grounds kept immaculate but areas are steep in places. Volunteers have to be praised for their help.

Dunster Castle is a truly impressive place with a fascinating history and beautiful surroundings. The castle dates back to the 11th century, and it has been wonderfully preserved over the years, which makes visiting it feel like stepping back in time. The views from the grounds are absolutely stunning, and the gardens are just as lovely as the castle itself. It is a great place to explore if you enjoy history, architecture, and peaceful walks. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely recommend it to anyone travelling in the area.

Absolutely stunning place with lots to see. The castle is incredible. Sadly the cafe wasn’t very well stocked so had nothing left by 1pm and it was a beautiful day so it would have been nice to have had someone outside but there are lots of lovely cafe in Dunster Village. The gardens are beautiful and very well looked after. There are plenty of places to park including the National Trust car park which has lots of spaces.

Beautiful setting looking out over the Somerset coastline From the Car Park there is a little bit of a walk uphill, but worth it!! If of limited mobility there is a Shuttle bus that will take you to the Castle. Cafe and ice cream seller on site with a good range to choose from The gardens were beautiful and lots to see in the house, some great stories too. Facilities were all extremely good. Big shout out to the staff who were ever so friendly and helpful
