Beautiful flat beach. Lovely when the tide goes out. Small town nearby with a funfair which has been there for decades. Nice and quiet and beautiful to relax

Visited today and the kids and I had a great time! The beach is vast and at low time there's lots of space for the kids to run around on the sand and enjoy the best of both worlds. Lovely beach!

Sandy beaches. Large and wide. Usual facilities nearby like icecream and fish & chips. We were only there for a short time but at 4pm on a Sunday when the sun was out and the weather was warm it was absolutely lovely. Good views east and west to other south England seaside towns too. Will probably be back for a longer visit.

Returning to this place as the beach is sandy and so vast, there is a room for everyone. The little village offers enough for a day trip, qlthour parking arrangements is a challenge so be there early or quite late. Always check the tides as the water comes quite high but there are steps where you can set up. What bothers me is people finding it completely acceptable to smoke weed on the beach where so many small children are present (not to mention smoking in front of theirs). But I guess this is a national problem overall.

What incredible beach! We were gobsmacked at the size and how clean it was (although noticed were posted to say the water quality was poor). The artist Paul Nash created some superb paintings of the beach one of which is in Queen Mary's dolls house!
