I went to the exhibition Paint! Pattern! Print! The Textiles of Susan Collier and Sarah Campbell. It was a wonderfully complete overview of their work. I enjoyed the free colouring and collaging area.

Very nice, small museum, with an interesting exhibit, highlighting the history and output of Susan Collier and Sarah Campbell. The were well laid out and annotated, with plenty of room to fully appreciate their artistry. Well worth the visit. Easy to find. Just a few blocks from the London Bridge station. Great neighborhood for dining and shopping before or after your visit to the museum.

Amazing exhibition of Collier Campbell patterns over 50 years. Beautifully curated. I particularly liked the time line of patterns. And we were lucky enough to meet Sarah Campbell there who is still producing work in her 80s! Inspirational lady.

The Fashion and Textile Museum in Bermondsey is a compact but very rewarding museum. The current exhibitions, Paint! Pattern! Print! The Textiles of Susan Collier and Sarah Campbell and The Material Heart: Front Line to Home Front, were beautifully curated. I especially liked how close you could get to the objects on display and how much care had gone into the presentation. The museum felt welcoming and easy to explore because of its size, though it is more of a focused exhibition experience than a large permanent collection.

I am an Actor and Museum Educator and had a costume designed for me by Hildegard Bechler in a play at the National Theatre called After the Dance many years ago. I absolutely love this incredible exhibition. You are hit with tunes from the films as you walk in evoking characters that you love from the movies, then costumes with some clips from films or photos, drawings next to them. Beautifully curated to bring the magic of the screen and it really does connect deeply. I spent most of my time trying to guess the film/series and I got majority right as the theme suited my type of film perfectly. Thank you John Bright and the museum for a magical day out. I loved it so much!!!
