I use fit and healthy chiropractors at the leisure centre. Very happy with them. The leisure centre always looks clean and the staff are always helpful and polite.

This review is about the gym at the leisure centre. Most of the machines are so old and out-dated that they cannot handle extra weight for stronger users and don't get updated either, halting progress and showing a complete lack of care for the members and is enforced with threats of bans and a looming presence over your workouts. Similarly, the AC in the gym is never on making you feel exhausted and like you're in a sauna no matter the weather. Finally, going back to the machine's and the weights area only going up to 40kg dumbells and 35-50kg stacks leaving no room for progression after the fact and with such little cables also, you have to wait ages to even get one of these subpar machines. I suggest a large pour of budget into the gym and votes on new machines as some dont get used at all/very rarely and are a waste of money. Some of the reception staff workers also can be very lovely yet some newer ones remain oblivious to customers walking in due to Airpods being in on shift or being on their phones.

Nice 25m swimming pool. We book lane swims using the places Leisure app. Cheapest place to swim in the BCP area - around £1 cheaper than BH Active or BCP leisure centres. The centre has that school sports hall aesthetic, but don't let that put you off! Pool is clean (although because of its vintage, some of the tiles are yellowed), good temperature, and super-wide slow lane. It's never too crowded and lifeguards are attentive. The changing rooms are usually fairly clean - mainly communal changing with a handful of individual cubicles. Shower cubicles and usually reliable hot showers. Lockers (£1 refundable) are well maintained. Steps up to the pool from the changing rooms can be slippy. Plenty of free parking on site. Best value swim in the area 🏊‍♀️
