This place was just vast with exceptional views. You had to walk though it to get to the beach don't take wheel chairs or buggies as you will struggle. There is a cafe there and toilets but it gets busy so prepare to queue. It's best kept sparse as that's what makes the area. Putting in a pier or more structures would remove from the fantastic scenery. Advice is walking shoes, prepare for sand and beach shoes if you want to go anywhere near the beach. Has a great time with family but plan toilet breaks as the nearest will be quite a walk but preparation is key. Only one carpark with is massive but also quite a way out so be be forewarned. It's pay and display so don't park to far from a meter.

We spent our visit on the beach, the dogs thoroughly enjoyed themselves playing in the sea. There were lots of people there but with the size of the beach there was plenty of room for all. It was a lovely sunny day with no cloud cover, the coast does have a gentle breeze lowering the temperature slightly. We were there from 11am to 2.30pm, high tide was 3.50pm and was noticably coming in when we left - recommend checking on tide times before visiting, the nearest tide times available are online for the adjacent beach Wells-next-the sea. There's plenty of parking, with cafe and toilets near to the entrance, though not many facilities so you do need to queue for the toilet. Dog poo bins near the entrance and beach end of boardwalk - there are no litter bins, as it is a nature reserve you are encouraged to take this home. We had to find a spare bag in the car to put ours in.

An absolute hidden gem! This nature reserve is incredibly well-kept the walking trails are perfectly cleared with incredibke landscpaes. If you're into birdwatching, bring your binoculars because the variety here is fantastic. There were a variety of species that we spotted in just one afternoon. The beach is also massive, offering plenty of space to walk without feeling crowded, even on busier days. Plenty of parking and great signage throughout. It's also dog friendly (with periods of the year when dogs need to be on leads during ground birds nesting season). Highly recommend❗

Beautiful nature reserve! Ideal for ornithologists as there is an abundance of beautiful birdlife, such as spoon bills, Marsh Harriers, egrets, shelduck, Canada and Greylag geese, plus so much more! There is also a lovely café which serves a variety of hot and cold food and drink. Perfect for a day out!

Amazing beach really is. This is our go to beach it is a bit quieter than Wells or Brancaster , much quieter but still lots to keep the children entertain. There is a stream of sea that goes through the beach so perfect for little ones. The sea is just as fun. There are sand dunes around which is great for the kids. Without kids it is still just as relaxing and the views are beautiful. We will also come back to this beach. It isn't easy to get to, with a bit of a walk from the car park so carry light. For example we had a pram and trolley cart. Won't do that again ha. But it is very much worth it. They have a cafe and ice cream van at the car park. Highly recommend
