The walled garden is exceptional. The house is really interesting, fascinating family history. Modern art isn't my thing tbh but that shouldn't put anyone off.

Unfortunately it was pouring with rain during our visit and wasn't able to walk around the gardens. Enjoyed the café and the small museum of soldiers displayed in various dioramas over the centuries. Both excellent. Will centrally visit again to look at the gardens and the main house.

Big Norfolk estate . Interesting white deer herd, well maintained formal gardens. Not sure I'd bother with the house or wider gardens with the art exhibits again but worth seing one time at least .. Not the cheapest to get into unless you have a discount of some sort ..

Wonderful and very largel walled garden with lots of areas of interest including a kitchen garden. Large grounds with the herd of white deer. House worth a look. Wide selection of interesting lunches, snacks and cakes all good quality. You probably need a long morning or afternoon to do a visit justice

What a super few hours spent at Houghton. I had booked for their first ever tulip event. It was £12pp advanced (online) booking and proved fabulius value. We parked easily and initially visitrd the cafe for a light lunch whivh we ate in tbe delightful courtyard area. We then wnt into the model soldier exhibition which was wonderful. A brief stroll around the exterior of the house to view the white deer from a short distance. We then went through to the walled garden. It was absolutely stunning! Every single aspect 👌 All staff and volunteers tgat we met were super friendly, enthusiastic and knowledgable. A HUGE shout out to Head Gardener Richard and his team of gardeners both staff and volunteers 🙏 After the walled garden with its nany elements, we wandered through the parkland and up to the church. A super experuence on a glorious day 🙏 We are saving our visit to the Hall for another day.
