Lovely chilled environment at my time of visit which was a weekday and not weekend. Loved the area and the beach, however the houses knfront of the beach need makeover to change the overall scenery.

Stunning beach. Mostly sandy, lots of areas that are great for exploring including the sand dunes. There is a path that takes you round the coast towards Clacton. Well worth a visit. Sunspot has opened recently with lots of refreshments options at one end of the beach - recommend the Sunspot Cafe. Beach Bar 82 at the other end has lots of great food options too.
