We had a visit to Jubilee Beach in Southend on Sea. It’s a lovely place for a long, relaxing walk along the seafront, with plenty of cafés, ice cream bars and places to stop for a drink or snack along the way. Unfortunately, the pier was closed on the day we visited, so we didn’t get to experience that. Would recommend for a day trip.
I really had a lovely relaxing day with my family and church members. It was quite crowded, but yet still enough space to be by yourself if that was your chosen path. The weather was amazing and I would definitely recommend a visit, to those that can.
amazing beach experience! nearby food stalls available with lots of places to explore and have fun and games. Great place to be with friends and family for weekend.
Pleasant, long sand & shingle beach (more shingle!) but can get very crowded in summer, and very, very tourist-trappy!! Expensive junk food at the eateries along here, few decent restaurants. Waters are green and with floating seaweed; not clear. Temperature in summertime is not bad...swimmable if you are a bit brave. Amusement park with roller coasters, ferris wheels, merry-go-rounds, etc etc. Nice esplanade to walk along. Deck chairs for hire at £6 each.
Best when we are nearing the high tide. I visited this place with kids and wife in early July. The waters were very far till 5:30 PM, post that it started raising and filled the beach coast. It was shallow and very safe for kids.
