Fair pricing. Good variation of rides but most of all, rides are close together. I was at legoland previous and my legs were killing me with all the walking. Southend had everything close by and my legs had a chance to recover.i could sit and watch the kids go on multiple rides all within touching distance. Much better than all theme parks and the food was decent too.👍👍 Big thumbs up from the whole family!

I lived in Sardinia for over 16 years. My standards of seafront is based on how was my daily life in Sardinia. Southend seafront has nothing to do with what I used to live with. I've even never seen the effects of a low tide. Seeing all these little boats standing on mud is kind of weird and fascinating in the same time. But. Sunbath in front of... mud? I really missed my white sand. The sound of the sea on the sand. Enter the sea with sand under my feet, not mud. This isn't definitely where I would go on holiday if I want to be by the sea. But I repeat, it has its charm.

Car culture is the best here :) I would 100% recommend going not just for a day trip by the sea, but especially if you are into cars are a lot of nice vehicles come by and park by the seafront

Southend-on-Sea is a great destination for a classic British seaside day out. The highlight of the visit is definitely Southend Pier –walking along the longest pleasure pier in the world is a unique experience, and the views over the Thames Estuary are beautiful, especially on a sunny day. You can either walk or take the small train, which adds to the fun. The seafront has a lively atmosphere with plenty of arcades, cafés, and traditional fish and chip shops.

A spontaneous late‑afternoon run to Southend from Hertfordshire turned into a perfect few hours: beach wander, 2p arcades, and classic fish and chips before heading home. The girls adore it every time we go, without fail.
