This is an exceptional place to stand and be in awe of old architecture. It is beautiful throughout and basically unchanged since it was first built. Very quiet inside. I just popped in for a few minutes rest and silence. It was like 10 minutes of meditation.

Hate to admit but it's the 1st time I've visited. Met a friend & we both enjoyed looking at the amazing art. So much to see. Popped into the Tiled Hall cafe mid afternoon. Great space with lovely cakes. We then browsed over on the Henry Moore building. All in all a great day, in my home town & it's free.

The children area is wonderful! I wish my son would behave better, so we could have come more often during our holidays in Leeds. There is a pram entrance, a lift to get to the ground floor where the children area is located. The entrance is free!

A wonderful library housed in a beautiful Victorian building that’s free to all. Does it get any better. The tapestry on the 1st floor highlights the story of Leeds & its people. What a Great City.

Even with the outside wrapped up for repairs, it still looks proud and full of character. The stonework, the old carvings, the tall windows, they peek out from behind the covers like a book waiting to be opened. The building’s having a bit of a makeover right now. There’s netting and boards around it, and workers are gently cleaning and fixing things up. But instead of hiding its beauty, the repairs make you notice it more. It’s like the city is saying: This place matters! Step inside and you’re in a different world. The quiet, the collections of books, the historical Victorian charm, it all feels timeless. You can tell this place has seen generations come and go, each leaving a little piece of their story behind. If you’re nearby, take a moment. Look up. Let the building speak. Even under wraps, it’s still telling tales.
