A quaint little stone beach which just so happens to have a country park nearby, for those who prefer the more serene aspects of exploring the wonders of nature. The tide does push out quite some way so there's ample opportunities to walk along the coast and enjoy the fresh sea air. Be sure to look out for the old lighthouse, a staple of the beach itself which has quite the history attached to it. There's a refreshment area located where the car park is and to be honest, the beach isn't busy like so many other beaches tend to be so a quiet walk here with your dog or even a family day at the beach would be very ideal. With New Forest right there, it's even better.

Travelled to Lepe Beach fairly recently, it's not a million miles from home, but been there only a few times in my life (maybe 3 max!) The car park is fairly decently sized and there are public loos near the car park entrance. There are a handful of pay machines there, it's ANPR so pay on exit. Stunning beach, my primary reason for going, was photography, but you can easily lose time here, especially when the cafe is open I'd imagine. Only other comment .... Needs more bins! I don't think I saw one and in a national park, there certainly should be some.

Lepe is my closest beach, so I go there quite often. This most recent time I went for a swim, though most times I just take my dog for a walk to the furthest end, then pop into the café for a drink on my way back. It's a stoney beach with patches of sand. Dogs are allowed on the beach at the far end all year round. Restrictions are in place for the summer season on the stretch nearer to the car park. It's one of my favourite outings. The car park isn't cheap but I believe the proceeds are used to maintain the park. You can buy a season ticket but I don't quite go often enough to make it worthwhile buying one. Lepe is very family friendly. They have two brand new playgrounds (2026), which are very popular. There are toilets in the café and next to the café. There's a public tap if you need water for your dog. It's a lovely place to visit at any time of year.

If you appreciate a wilder, more rugged coastline, Lepe Beach is hard to beat. It’s a beautiful shingle beach that offers incredible, uninterrupted views across the Solent to the Isle of Wight. It’s a paradise for nature lovers, you can spend hours here just beach walking. ​It’s important to note that this isn’t your typical 'sunbathe on the sand' beach; it’s more about long, bracing walks along the cliff-fringed shoreline. The currents here can be quite strong, so it’s definitely better suited for walking, kite flying, and exploring rather than swimming. If you head out at low tide, you can see the fascinating old D-Day structures and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the nature reserve nearby. It’s a quiet, atmospheric place that feels a world away from the busier tourist spots.

Wonderful beach, with facilities, cafe, sauna, and a D-Day themed kids park with an assault course. Really enjoyable and linked to country park for more adventure.
