Great little place. The small staff team are friendly & incredibly helpful. Love the place.

In terms of staff, this is very much a mixed bag service. There are great staff there, such as John, who is brilliant especially when handling the classes for young children. However certain other staff members, I've noticed, tend to have have a poor attitude, and demonstrate only 'one volume' when dealing with students regardless of age and i've seen examples of young children being spoken to with an abrupt manner and tone that I do not think is appropriate. Therefore, I would not be inclined to recommend this service, certainly not for younger children unless you can secure John as the teacher. Even then, I am definitley considering other options around other places for my son to learn to swim.

My child has been on one stage for about 9 months. They introduced a new system a while ago for updating and tracking progress but it doesn't get updated unless you speak up. When you do, they tell you that it's the system's fault. The last update done was about 2 months ago. This is not the first or second time this has happened. I am on the waiting list of another swimming centre. Once there's an opening, I will leave them.

Awful for four year olds. Booked our four year old daughter in for 4 x 30 minute Stage 1 sessions over the school holidays. She was in a class with a 7 and 9 year. The coach had no patience for our daughter who had only previously done lessons when with a parent in the water and was used to being held up. An extremely disappointing experience and not one I’d wish on other parents / children. There was no effort to find alternative approaches or build confidence. That bad, we didn’t want to finish with the last of the sessions and not someone who should be coaching young children.

Lovely small instructional pool - great for smaller kids and those learning to swim. Friendly staff and great atmosphere - no lockers etc things are stored in cubicles around the pool. Have to book by phone but will need your leisure number (get one on Bham Council site)
