Monkey Valley is London Zoo's landmark transformation of the Grade II* listed Snowdon Aviary into an immersive walk-through habitat showcasing Eastern black-and-white colobus monkeys. Visitors are transported to a lush Central African mountainous forest, complete with a stunning 30-foot waterfall and peaceful lagoon, as they walk alongside ten colobus monkeys leaping, swinging, and lounging in their tree-top inspired home that soars 80 feet above the London skyline. The habitat features over 800 metres of rope for the monkeys to swing on, 1,347 new plants and trees, and multiple sunny and shaded basking spots. The experience includes interactive learning opportunities such as Colobus Corner, where visitors can learn to translate 'colobus speak,' and Colobus Park, where guests can practise colobus leaps that can span up to 50 feet. A quiet zone allows visitors to relax and discover the fascinating history of the Grade II* listed structure. Monkey Valley is suitable for families of all ages and offers limited walk-through access times (11:00am-12:30pm and 2:00pm-3:30pm) to allow the monkeys adequate rest periods, as colobus monkeys have complex digestive systems requiring quiet time after feeding. Even when the walk-through is closed, visitors can explore the surrounding habitat area.

Amazing place to go if you love monkeys. You can walk through the enclosure and watch the monkeys climbing and running about. Definitely worth visiting if you go to London Zoo.

i had a really great time at the monkey valley. The zoo staff member was amazing she knew all the monkey names and was so cheerful and bubbly when delivering all her knowledge of the colobus monkeys. I loved it because i love all kinds of monkeys and seeing them and being among them just made my day

Historical architecture from the 1960s that was redeveloped recently. Lovely walk through seeing the black/white colobus monkeys and the surrounding area.
