Had we have researched this before we drove up the very narrow windy road (with no pull-ins!) we probably wouldn't have gone. We were expecting a castle, not a hill fort. Not much to see here at all. Nice views, but we wouldn't go back.

Not easy to find even with the help of sat nav. Small car park but appeared to be free. When we visited (May) the blue bells were stunning and we enjoyed our brief walk the red route

A beautiful bluebell wood with a variety of paths. Also some fabulous trees atop an old boundary bank. A small amount of parking (note that some of the country roads leading to it are narrow). An interpretation board is at the entrance with a map

We visited with the family. Not a big car park, but we got there early. Lovely tree lined and blue bell walk and viewpoints.

This was a lovely place to visit and has a number of different walks depending on your fitness level.
