Fantastic view over looking by the sea and Portland. Also the old Sandfoot Castle was still amazing a unique caricature of broken castle it was worth it to visit, very educational and what a historic place. The garden was beautiful and well maintained

Lovely park to enjoy views of the water, place to sit and picnic, etc. The ruins of the castle are nice to see but limited.

Lovely place with garden's directly above and the sea in front. The ruin's themselves aren't accessible and have a fence around them which is a shame but still lovely to see and free to enter. There is some parking just outside the gardens which is also free and a nice little coffee shed however, the food options are limited.

A lovely place. A Ruin?....yes. That is it's in ruins. A Henry Vlll fort built after he and we had upset the Spanish, the Pope and the Holy Roman Empire and initiated the reformation in England divorcing his Queen, Catherine of Aragon. The adjacent gardens are peaceful and I'm guessing in summer when I visited, a place for an ice cream....yes, the small cafe sells a 99 with a flake, so all good. You can't access the castle currently as I thing coastal erosion is making a serious attempt to reclaim the land it sits on, but it's beautiful none the less. For an alternative view pop down to the beach down the access road and you can see the fort from the sea shore. Well worth a tranquil visit....and a 99 with a flake.

It was nice to see, but the old ruin was all fenced off with a padlocked gate, so couldn't have a proper look around. Not sure why it was locked, maybe because it was January and weather not great. The gardens were nice, probably look great in the summer. There were benches to sit at. Not much parking around.
