We went here as National Trust members, and it was recommended. It did not disappoint; a beautiful family home, and the owner kindly takes you around and is fascinating to listen to and to hear the house history, etc. As it closes, we will come back as the gardens are stunning.
I visited the charfield plant fare and excellent event for plantaholics and beautiful gardens to look round, coffee and cakes were available, Internet may be slow so take some cash.
Such a beautiful property and garden. We took a tour and I'm really glad we did because I'd have missed so much. The gardens were lovely- the roses in particular. A perfect couple of hours.
Excellent National Trust house to visit. It is £15 for an adult or free with a NT membership. You can also just visit the garden without the house for £11. Make sure you check which days it's open, currently only open Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday. The gardens are beautiful to walk round. You can only enter the house via guided tour, but its worth going on the tour as it is fascinating. No real cafe but a coffee pot and some biscuits with a honest box and some tables to sit at. A really interesting house and worth a visit.
What a beautiful spot! The whole property is stunning! The garden so colourful. Unfortunately we had no time to visit the house. The house tours are spread apart. This place is peaceful and very well kept. The little church was beautiful. Highly recommended to visit.
