The whole garden looks very good and the prospect of it being in its full blossom, is very intriguing. However,due to extreme weather and I believe a lack of engagement, it looks a bit lost in transition. Still worth visiting. The manor can be visited only on the ground floor. The rest of the house is closed to visitors.

Lovely little house and gardens. Wall hangings in the 'great hall' are definitely worth seeing, it's easy to imagine what the room would have looked like. Liked the things to find on them as well, good for kids. Cute little bookshop. Tea garden has The Shed, a work from home from 1920 which many today would envy. Gardens are a delight as well.

I enjoyed my visit to Mottistone. The car park was easy to find and being mid-morning and mid-week there was plenty of parking. A short walk to the entrance and a lovely warm welcome. The gardens weren't quite in full flower (I'd missed the spring flowers and too early for others) and it was a lovely pleasant walk around. The manor house didn't have much to offer with one room open and the second hand bookshop in another area. I took the walk up the hill to Longstone and the view from there which was beautiful. The tea room was limited in its offering, but I enjoyed a cheese scone. There were a couple of toilets on site

We really enjoyed this quiet and peaceful garden and woodland. Beautiful trees, bluebells and hedged garden. Fantastic wisteria too. Very nice tea kiosk with home made cakes as well. A couple of rooms in the old house with interesting information about the family.

As a National Trust member I’ve been to a lot of sites and I have to say this was one of my favourite places to visit, even if we arrived too late to go in the house. The staff were lovely and there was a festive feel with the Easter fete on. The formal gardens weren’t massive but were super lovely and beyond the orchard is a magical wooded area that’s full of bluebells and spring bulbs. If you walk about 15 minutes off the property there’s a cool Neolithic stone monument to visit.
