Absolutely loved the gardens but we were a bit perplexed that some areas, named under a different country, were the same (Hydrangeas). Didn't really see anything Japanese, except ornaments, in the Japanese area, so that was disappointing but otherwise we enjoyed it. Tropical green house is a must see. Lovely shop with fantastic items and reasonably priced. We bought some plants too and there wa many to choose from that I haven't found at home on the mainland. Cafe was excellent. What was a really nice touch is that after buying our entry tickets we were offered free entry for another day which we used.

Lovely garden for a wander around, lots of interesting species and themed areas reflecting a variety of garden styles from around the world. Excellent cafe too with vegan options, friendly service and plenty of shaded seating outside. We enjoyed our day here!

Lots to see and enjoy, many different themed areas of interest, including the Japanese garden, Mediterranean, Australian, New Zealand and tropical greenhouse. Lovely cafe, gift shop selling their own harvested seeds, and picnic areas. You could spend hours here. And we could return for free within the week.

Had a lovely tour as part of a work project. A beautiful and unique garden with a stunning coastal setting. Was fascinated by the history behind the foundation, not only the different trees and plants. Ventnor Botanic Garden offers a diverse range of plants in a peaceful, subtropical atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing and scenic visit. They also have cottage to stay and beautiful wedding venue!

I was so taken with the number of walkways and variety of flora, that I bought an annual membership. There is a back gate, that gives access to a scenic coastal path. Even at winter time the grounds are well kept, tranquil and I can not wait to see the seasonal changes especially into spring. The gift shop has a large variety of merchandise and the cosy cafe offers many delicious items to eat and drink.
