Great beach with kids as it’s pretty much enclosed both sides so they can’t wander too far. Steep roads and paths to get down but a cliff railway (chargeable) is available, just don’t miss the last one back! No real parking and wardens are on the look out, I even saw them ticket someone for letting a disabled lady out of a vehicle at the bottom. Lovely, but pricy, cafe on the beach for take-away and eat in food & drink

What a pleasant beach with a great cafe and a very reasonably priced gift shop. Plenty of seating on the steps and. As cute array of beach huts. Set in a bay the sea was calm and you can hire paddle boards and kayaks

Very clean beach with great views. Plenty of areas to sit including the rental of deck chairs and lounger chairs great day out. One thing to be aware of is that dogs are allowed on the cliff train all year round but not allowed on the beach all year round

Today, I hiked down to Oddicombe Beach in Torbay - and it was absolutely stunning. The trail winds its way through lush greenery, with occasional openings that reveal sweeping views of the sparkling English Channel below. As you descend, the air grows fresher and saltier, and you can hear the faint crash of waves calling you closer. The path itself is a mix of gentle slopes and steeper sections, but every step is worth it for the incredible coastal scenery. When you finally reach the beach, you're greeted by dramatic red cliffs towering above soft pebbles and turquoise waters - a hidden gem that feels like a little slice of paradise

Probably the best spot in the Bay! Beautiful, tranquil, full of amazing wildlife, popular for sea swimmers, sailing, kayaking, sheltered, good amenities and lovely cafe/ restaurant, shop for nik naks/ inflatables, accessible via unique cliff railway. Kayaking, peddlo and other watersports hire available in summer, good service, pretty reasonable rates to. No parking in summer but generally find a spot in winter. Beautiful walk down if you're able, but it's steep, either via steps adjacent to the cliff railway or a single lane road that winds its way down. Beach is Mix of pebbles and sand, beach shoes advised for comfort if on a beach day out with the kids. There are steps at top of beach to sit on if preferred. Even has a museum down there. Its a great beach, just a very special place
