Thurstaston is a beautiful place to wander round. Toilets there too, plenty of parking. Free after 6.30 pm. Walk along the shore of the river Dee or around the cliff tops. Stunning.

Wirral Country Park is one of the best peaceful outdoor spots around for a family day out. The park is very clean, well maintained, and has great barbecue areas with plenty of picnic tables and benches. The whole area feels calm, safe, and family friendly. There are beautiful walking paths with amazing sea views, and the children’s play area is secure and perfect for families with kids. Parking is spacious and convenient, and the location is very easy to access. A perfect place for relaxing, walking, BBQs, and enjoying nature away from busy city areas.

Stunning immaculately kept park. It has pre built BBQ areas with benches . These. Are a short walk from the carpark and cafe facilities. You can walk along the cliff edge or around the lakes. There are also covered paths leading down to the beach via steps. Its a dog friendly park. There's plenty of parking at a reasonable price.

Beautifully kept country park with lots to offer, from coastal views to walks through history along the route of former West Kirby to Hooton Railway. Facilities are very good, with Flissys Coffee Shop providing great refreshments in an interesting setting at the former Thurstaston station, with an attractive pond and limekiln site nearby. Toilet facilities and ample parking with reasonable hourly charges make the park good for family visits. Thurstaston Beach was blissfully quiet when I visited, a long stretch of unspoilt sand at the foot of crumbly earth cliffs, with excellent views across the Dee Estuary to Wales. Paths around the park are well maintained and signposted, with woodland trails, neat little bridges over streams, and information boards at various points of interest so can learn about the area while exploring. A great place to spend an hour or two walking the dog or just enjoying some time amongst nature.
