Brilliant beach, lovely and clean and well patrolled by the RLNI lifeguards. Had a great day today with the family and able to park fairly close to the beach which was handy with windbreaks and chairs etc. Much prefer this to South Bay as it’s less busy and less things like amusement arcades so it keeps the foot traffic down. Bonus was lovely views of the Castle to go along with the views of the North Sea.

Beautiful expanse of sand and shallow water when the tide is low. Do check tide timings before heading off. Plenty of places to eat and get icecream, but standard fish and chips available at a five minutes drive, unless you want to pay a bit more and eat F&C at the local pub. Beautiful atmosphere. There is almost sufficient parking available and there is wheelchair access to the beach. Toilets also available but quite mucky on a busy day, which is such a shame. Council could improve facilities to encourage tourism and improve local economy.

Good for a walk but there is a constant trickle of sewage, I suppose it's even worse when it rains. See picture of sewage outlet. No idea how this got 2 out of 3 stars for swimming water

Great beach for walks etc. Visited this time on Feb Sat gloomy weather but big waves so quite a few surfers. Fish and chip kiosk/cafe open and public toilets available half way down carparking. Parking free until 1 March.

Loved this part of Scarborough, North beach is more picturesque than south, the promenade had lots of wet sand because it was raining, but the views were amazing, most part it's sandy with few pebbles, at the end, the extreme north is a bridge connecting to small cliff which has walking trails. Will most certainly visit in summer again
