Had the best day out. Bought a turkish cotton towel from a gentleman at George Street market, a few crime novels centered around Oxford, lunch to go and spent lovely few hours under a tree reading and enjoying the views

The gardens are a wonderful place to go if you want to escape the busy streets of Oxford. The greenhouse plants are my favorite with plenty of interesting carnivorous plants and cactus to see. There’s toilets and a small cafe stand which is wonderful to enjoy in sunny weather. I would say that a visit is best in the sun.

Beautiful place to enjoy nature… if you suffer from pollen allergies this is not the place for you. The gardens are not that big is easy to walk around. Entrance cost £9 children enter free: they have few benches to seat and rest. Coffee shop is small not much seating area.

The garden is not very big, but it is well maintained. Its proximity to the river makes it very special—truly a very Oxford-like place. I didn’t find any café inside, only a coffee kiosk at the entrance. The coffee was good, by the way, but I was glad I had brought sandwiches with me.

A beautiful little oasis hidden off the main road. We came here seeking a little calm. It was a lovely place to spend a few hours. Just be aware you need to pay to get in and there are only 2 ladies toilets.
