It's an excellent option for dog walkers, but not the sort of beach you would want to spend all day on.

maybe because it's not the peak season yet it was nice and quiet. Helpful staff 👌 The lady which cleaned our caravan did a great job,her name is Millie (if I am not wrong or if I misspelled the name I apologise). It might look far from the town but I walked for 10/15 min via a short cut and reached The Inn which was open until 11pm.

Nice enough beach for a family day out with a dog. Clean enough. Facilties were a bit of a walk away. Compared to some of the beaches locally it feels a bit lacklustre but did what we needed. Coffee from the van located in the car park was amazing

Lovely beach and very accessible for people with poor mobility. A small freshwater tributary runs along the far eastern side. A welcome respite for the dogs from the salinity of the sea. Very sandy, lots of seaweed but highly recommend. Coffee and pasty van were parked there when we were there( May)

My wife and I walked down to the beach on the first of October - our first ever visit but not our last. There was a breeze but it was bright and sunny when we got there about 4pm. Nobody was in the water but it was October! It is a sandy beach so must be packed at the height of summer. There is a cave / tunnel at the eastern end - I wonder where it goes. Not having a torch, I only went as far as I could before seeing total darkness ahead of me. There were plenty of dog walkers. Others have commented on seaweed - yes, there seemed to be a lot but it is the sea after all!
