Wonderful place to visit. Staff were welcoming. Lots of places to eat through the gardens with sit down options too. Added bonus of Bettys tearooms linked to the main building and they do takeaway too so you can eat in gardens if you wish. Very accessible with well laid out paths plus toilet facilities. Planting is varied and colourful. Loved the deckchairs on some lawned areas which meant you could take a rest and enjoy the views. Free car parking.

The RHS garden at Harlow Carr is excellent, beautifully laid out gardens with multiple award winning areas and several bridges lakes and streams. On a sunny day it was magnificent. Loads of places to get a coffee or a bite to eat and also a Betty's cafe (without a queue!). Staff are immensely knowledgeable and very helpful and friendly...great for kids too...would recommend.

Gorgeous afternoon at the gardens. Not too big to explore all the areas. Immaculate gardens and landscape. A perfect place to unwind and escape. Reduced entrance fee if on foot. I walked from Valley Gardens in Harrogate to the gardens along the woodland path that's sign posted , in Valley Gardens. Play areas for children including a beautiful tree house. Lots of places to sit and have picnic too.

A wonderful garden to wander around and contemplate life whilst wondering why your garden never seems to look so much perfect (if you happen to have one). This is an established garden that was added to the RHS portfolio of gardens, possibly to stop them from being such a southern based organisation. Whatever the reason, this is a lovely, mature garden to visit with a lovely arboretum and lots of imaginative planting. There is a Betty’s tearoom at the entrance but you can’t access it from within the gardens, so think about that when visiting. There is a pub, gallery and garden centre contained within the gardens. Well worth a visit. RHS members get in free with a guest, so membership is worth considering if you live near enough and want to visit a lot.

Had a wonderful day on my first time visiting RHS Garden Harlow Carr and making the most of my RHS membership. Plenty of parking, which is free to RHS members. Started off by having some delious food and drink at Bettys Cafe tea room and shop with fabulous service and views of the garden. There was so much to see, and plenty of benches to sit, rest and enjoy all the beautiful planting, framed views, water and nature. Had a brew and cake at Bettys Tea house where we had the pleasure of a couple of Blue Tits popping over and even sitting on our hands. The garden center is big and had a good range of plants which of course we had to buy some before making our way home. All the staff were very polite, helpful and friendly. Would recommend and definitely will be coming back.
