Rhyl Beach is a vast expanse of sandy coastline stretching approximately two miles from the Clwyd Estuary to Splash Point, making it one of North Wales' most popular seaside destinations. The beach becomes even more expansive at low tide, sometimes requiring a walk of nearly half a mile to reach the water. The main beach at Rhyl Central offers free beach volleyball and football pitches, alongside traditional seaside activities including swimming, paddling, and sandcastle building. The beach caters to families and water sports enthusiasts of all ages, with designated watersports zones for kayaking, windsurfing, and kitesurfing. RNLI lifeguards patrol Rhyl Central Beach during the main summer season, with daily coverage from early July to September between 10am and 6pm. The broad, paved promenade provides excellent accessibility, with ramped beach access at selected points and adapted sand-friendly wheelchairs available for hire from PKS Watersports. Beyond the beach itself, Rhyl offers traditional seaside attractions including amusement arcades, cafés, and the Kite Surf Café. Nearby leisure developments include SC2, an indoor waterpark with slides and water-play areas, and the five-screen Strand Cinema. The long promenade also forms part of the Wales Coast Path and North Wales Coast Cycle Route, ideal for walking and cycling. Visitors can enjoy boat trips into the bay or sea fishing at Rhyl Harbour, with the historic Lifeboat Station open daily.

Parking plentiful. We bought an ice cream from the front and it was cheap and mostly water so melted within minutes. We walked through town and witnessed people hanging out,drinking and fighting down the side down Wilkos. We had a chat to the store owner of a bakery near by that was closing down as the issue of the fighting, shouting and swearing had been going on for so long it had ruined their business. Such a pity as the beach is actually quite lovely. They are investing a lot of money in it so hopefully it will get better but I wouldn't recommend going now.

One of the best places to go to watch the sunset. You can even see Llandudno on a clear day 😉. Gorgeous, relaxing walk along the seafront or the beach. It's a good stretch to the harbour or up past the old sun centre way. Love going for a paddle on a warm day. Collecting shells and unusual looking pebbles. Having a coffee on a colder day,just watching the tide roll away,breathing in the calmness of the day. Just stunning on any kind of day.

Rhyl Beach is a lovely sandy beach with beautiful sunsets. The sand is soft and the area feels peaceful, making it a nice place to relax and enjoy the sea. The only downside is that access to the beach wasn’t very easy or well-organized. Otherwise, it’s a pleasant spot for a walk, sitting by the water, or watching the sunse
