I've been 3 times now for the castle tour, Debbie, Sylvia and Claire each had their own style guaranteeing something new being learned each time, Paul at Grindhus coffee shop is always a wonderful barista and ensures each visitor has a map. The gardens, the woods, the lakes, deer and assorted animals are stunningly beautiful and great for relaxation. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a great day out, especially when ending with some delicious ice-cream back at Grindhus! The grounds are dog friendly, but do bring a lead for certain areas

Lovely place to visit. Tour guide was very informative giving detailed history of Ripley Castle and the Ingleby family that currently live there.

What a lovely day out with friends. Beautiful grounds in fact quite stunning. Sylvia was fascinating as she took us on a tour of the castle. She was very knowledgeable and was happy to answer questions. Thank you Sylvia. The tearoom had an hour wait for food from the kitchen. It didn't seem very busy at the time we were there, but had had apparently had a large table earlier. We stayed for a tea and a scone, which was very nice. The closed sign went up about 3pm. This was placed in the doorway. Several people came up to the door and saw the sign....it seemed a shame that the tearoom closed so early....3pm is surely afternoon tea time. There was no signage at the entrance of the teahouse courtyard entrance saying it was closed and directing people to where they could get a beverage ☕. We did really enjoy our visit so thank you

What an absolute joy to walk the grounds of this historic building and Estate. Sylvia, our guide for the morning, was very knowledgeable and it was lovely to see someone take such pride and pleasure in their work. The grounds are great for walking and the house was a dream come true for a history geek like me. I only wished I lived closer so that I could visit more.

Adults around £10.00 each, kids were free. Nice for a few hours walk, finished with a coffee and ice creams. Small adventure play ground need some restoring, kids still managed to have fun there anyway. Nice to see the deer around the park, peasants and hare etc also. We walked the gardens but haven't done the house tour yet. maybe next time. There is parking, it's not expensive, you can pay by ticket machine or online. I would recommend a visit if you are looking for a few hours out in the fresh air.
