Extremely good costume service, loved the swimming pool and hot tub. Would extremely progress them getting better showers and a better hair dryers that cost a £1 to use. Needs bit of a paint job but again facilities are good.

“The swimming pool water is not clean and is unsafe for anyone, especially children. It’s clear the pool is not being maintained properly. This is a serious health and safety concern and needs urgent attention. I would not recommend using this facility until the water is cleaned and made safe. I hope city council control there

It’s an endless battle having to talk to get the assisted pull up/dip machine at the gym oiled. The kneepad just stays in the middle and doesn’t move when you get off of it. One time a member of staff came upstairs and oiled it and it worked but for the last four or five days it’s always been “we’ll look into it” but it never gets done. I’ll be looking into changing to another gym. It’s a shame because the building and facilities are there but the equipment doesn’t get regularly serviced. I can’t be paying for something that doesn’t work. I need to do my set of exercises to help with my arthritis and bone problems but I can’t at this place. The pool is also freezing cold and the jacuzzi is lukewarm

Been coming here every weekend with my lad for the last few weeks as was going to continue to do so. Disappointed today to have my 9 year old lad kicked out of the jacuzzi when last week and the week before we spent half an hour in there and no one said a word. No signs either Nevermind sure there’s somewhere else. Also the main pool is freezing but this didn’t bother us to much when we could get in the jacuzzi afterwards.

I was a member of Riverside Leisure Centre for one year and regularly attended aqua classes. Over time, the pool temperature was reduced. Despite trying adjustments such as wearing long-sleeved swimwear, the water remained too cold to stay comfortable throughout the one-hour class. Several participants began leaving sessions early. The instructors delivered the classes well. The aqua sessions were particularly suitable for individuals with reduced mobility or those recovering from injuries, which appeared to be a key part of the intended audience. However, the reduced pool temperature during 2025 made participation difficult for these groups. Riverside also introduced a class called “Good Boost,” which is marketed toward people with reduced mobility and joint issues. The pool temperature is not suitable for this type of class. Feedback regarding the pool temperature was provided, but no changes were made prior to three members cancelling their memberships. Additionally, a new Sunday aqua class was announced in September 2025. As of January 2026, this class has not been introduced, and no communication has been provided despite enquiries. I really hope this feedback can be used constructively instead of advising members that the pool is warm enough for sports. I genuinely miss the classes and would reinstate the membership, as would the two people I used to go with. Other notable points: - There are no private showering facilities -The showers have not had hot water for a large portion of 2025
