Great compact little rabbit Warren of a place. Has a colony of penguins, some wonderful seals that seem to love the attention and showing off a little. Didn't see the otters sadly. Among the fish, jellyfish and coral on display there's a few species of small shark you might see through the underwater tunnel. There's also a small exotic section with some reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Usual hotdogs and burger snacks available both indoors and outside, kids play area and the obligatory gift shop which isnt awfully expensive. Wheelchair friendly. Pleasant and helpful staff. Themed photos are available to buy on exit if you have your pictures taken on entry and are also not hideously expensive if you speak to staff about the options for prints, magnet, keyring etc. Was only £14.50 entry per adult. Parking outside is local authority and is pay and display.. I would advide to do so as the van next to me had 1 yellow ticket when I went in and 2 by the time I had come out. Ringo/parking cost £3.20 for an hour and we manged to make it round the seaside centre in about an hour although we didn't stop for food. There is a Pub less than 5 minutes walk from the SLC which we didn't go in but looked welcoming and like it did food and is right in the beach so plenty of options to spend more than an hour there.

This was really fun and had great interactive areas for the kids. The penguins were very sweet. There was an otter living his best life and I loved the seahorses

A great place to visit, visited during a teacher training day (Monday) and we really enjoyed our visit. All the staff were friendly. A well looked after and clean place to visit. Check out the times at the front desk for the talks on different animals at different locations on site, we especially loved hearing about the seals and the cheeky Steven SeaGull that stole there fish dinners! Will visit again! Right on the sea front too

One of the best aquariums I've been to. So many interesting animals to see and the staff are happy to chat on your way around. We were lucky enough to see an octopus called Octavia who was absolutely stunning🐙. Would highly recommend!

I really wanted to rate this place higher but the most it deserves is 2 stars. Bought tickets online through Kids Pass and even with that is was £41 for 1 adult and 1 child. The first thing they make you do is some silly photos, so they can try to charge you even more to buy them at the end. The animals are lovely and there is a good variety to see. The problem was the labels were unclear so we were looking around everywhere to try to find out about the fish in the tank. The penguins were mostly hidden away. Didn't see any otters at all. The seals were excellent and the highlight of the experience but their enclosure is very small for their size. The rainforest section was a disappointment and the tanks were so dirty and misted up that you couldn't see inside anyway. The gift shop was small and we tried to have a look around but the smell coming from the adjacent toilets was awful so we left promptly. Overall, it took just under an hour to see everything and that was going slowly. Not worth the money.
