I love this site as its smaller and all of the staff are very helpful. Andrea is amazing at front desk as well as the rest of the reception staff. The life guards are very friendly and cheery especially Sam & Charlie. All of the staff go above and beyond for customers & I feel supported & welcomed everytime. I would not go to any other site for the reasons given above. Its a lovely environment to be in - especially if the facilities are used for your down time. Thank you to all at shipley pool.

Nice place to swim, fairly good changing facilities and lots of lockers. Occasionally the pool is busy especially on Thursday night and for the women's session on Tuesday.

It was a nice experience however I encountered rude behaviour from one life guard who was very disrespectful other than than it was good

Me and my friend decided to go for a family swim at Shipley pool, after seeing the reviews we were confident that Shipley pool was going to be great. We didn’t have to queue for too long and the changing rooms were decent except for some of the stalls being very small. The lifeguards on duty were all male and when I got out of my stall I noticed most of them all in a group talking in the changing room and not actually watching the pool when there was people in it. If you accidentally get the pool water in your mouth it tastes disgusting for some reason like it hasn’t been cleaned properly. The lifeguard told most of the people including us not to go in the middle of the pool even though there were people in it but I assume he was only letting confident swimmers into it. The pools quite an awkward layout having the two shallow ends at either side and the deep end in the middle giving unconfident swimmers less space. I was in a bikini and I felt like most of the time I would catch the lifeguards looking at me and it made me very uncomfortable since I’m a minor. My friend overheard this one lifeguard talking to his friend and saying “look at that fat guy over there” witch in my opinion is disgusting and very disrespectful, swimming should be a safe space and absolutely nobody should feel judged especially by a worker. Overall the swim was ok but I’m probably not going to come back.

Very disappointed - I went to visit the gym with the intention of joining on a premier pass. Recommended that I have an induction, just tried to book it and was told I would need trainers for the induction! I don't own a pair and don't want to pay a small fortune for trainers which I may not use - hence the induction! Would be more sensible if they would allow something suitable for the induction - such a Sketchers... But alas no, so I won't be joining this place
