Somewhere Different is Sheffield's most unique interactive family attraction, offering a complete day out under one roof. Visitors explore a Gallery of Illusions featuring over 120 interactive exhibits, optical illusions, and hands-on challenges including a mirror maze, giant bubble, tilted gravity room, and countless photo opportunities. The self-guided experience allows families to explore at their own pace, discovering how their senses and brains work while solving puzzles and challenging each other. Beyond the Gallery, guests enjoy access to the Board Games Café, where families can relax with refreshments and choose from hundreds of games suitable for all ages, including classic favourites, strategy games, party games, giant games like XL Connect 4, and LEGO building activities. Children can burn off energy in the PlayDeck adventure area with indoor slides and climbing facilities, while a Squishy Fidget Shop offers unique sensory toys and gifts. Perfect for families, friends, couples and birthday celebrations, a typical visit spans 2–3 hours. Was fun , was only us in which was great , we ( me & my 10 year old ) had a great laugh , took our time , she loves the squishy shop after , was very reasonably priced too !

I went with my 10 and 6 year old and both absolutely loved it! I think it’s wonderful having something like this in the centre of Sheffield. Both boys really enjoyed the exhibition and the wonky room was brilliant. The staggered entry meant we weren’t waiting for others or felt rushed and had time to explore in our own time. I definitely would recommend, the cafe with play equipment at the end is great too.

Lovley fun afternoon out with my two kids who loved the meusem and found it very fun, great end to the meusem we was then able to sit and play board games and enjoy snacks from the cafe, both workers where Lovley and quickly sorted an issue out when their coffee machine had an error.

We had a brilliant afternoon here. This place is fascinating, well thought out, fun and educational. I brought my 11 and 9 year old today. The staff were friendly and helpful. I think the entrance price is worth it as they let you stay for as long as you like, and it takes ages to go around if you look at everything properly. Amazing experience :)

Noticed this place had opened recently and thought I would take the kids before the stress of the SATS tests started. And we had such a fun time and took some amazing pictures! The team did the great job with the set up and the gentleman on reception was super friendly. We will definately be back I'm sure!
