Visit websiteView menu⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Wonderful Farm Shop, Friendly Animals and Great Local Produce The Whole Hogg Farm Shop and Tearoom was a lovely place to visit and a great stop during our journey. From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was welcoming and relaxed, making it feel like a genuine countryside experience rather than just another shop. One of the highlights of our visit was being able to spend time with the horses and donkeys. They were friendly and clearly well cared for, and it was a real pleasure to feed them and interact with them. It added something special to the visit and made it enjoyable for both adults and children alike. We also made use of the facilities during our stop and found everything clean, tidy, and well maintained. It’s always appreciated when a business takes pride in providing good facilities for visitors, especially when travelling. The farm shop itself was excellent, offering a fantastic range of local products and produce. We purchased some local food to take away and were impressed by both the quality and selection available. It’s great to see local businesses supporting local farmers and producers, and the products felt fresh and authentic. The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our visit, creating a pleasant experience from start to finish. Whether you’re looking for quality local food, a relaxing break, or the chance to see and feed some lovely animals, this is a fantastic place to visit. We would happily stop here again and highly recommend it to anyone passing through the area. A wonderful farm shop with genuine countryside charm. 🐴🫏🥓☕⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great little find on our travels along the A64 between York and Scarborough yesterday. Stopped for breakfast and had a wonderful meal! Coffee was smooth and strong, and the food came out hot and very tasty! Nice portion of 'Farmers wife' (scrambled eggs on toast with smoked salmon' and their own streaky bacon. Excellent! We also had their pancakes and ham, which was another winner. Not a huge cafe sitting area, but a steady stream of customers meant it was mostly full when we left. Picked up some nice meat pies, bacon and 'chicken valentine'-- similar to Kiev but without the beading. All looked delicious!
Amazing food, friendly staff, and great little find at the end of our holiday. Oh, and you must try the triangular black pudding... its incredible!
Was expecting something better and although it was ok, it's not somewhere I would go back to. Had to wait ages to be served and we had booked in advance. Put 4 of us on a small table and a larger table was given to 2 people. We all had burgers and all commented on how dry the bread rolls were and left them. When asked if everything was ok, we advised of the dry bread rolls, with absolutely no reaction! What's the point of asking for feedback if no explanation is reciprocated. The burgers came with a lettuce leaf and a dry bread roll, side salad of lettuce and one cherry tomato chopped in half. The chips were lovely and the staff were lovely. I really think this place needs to up it's game regarding food as it's set in lovely surroundings with a little shop and a butchers. 4 burgers and 4 teas came to 63 pounds so not cheap!
Great place for a sandwich or a selection of cooked meals. Indoor seating and the outdoor seating is great when the sun shines. Good price and service from friendly staff. Big car park and dog friendly.
