My children and I stumbled upon this place while out for a walk. We love history, so we were curious and decided to have a look around. What a hidden gem! It was so interesting, and we learned so many facts about the Tudors. The staff were lovely and friendly and went above and beyond to make our visit enjoyable.
It’s free entry. House full of history. Friendly and helpful staff to give us tour the museum. Don’t miss the cake & coffee, they’re delicious.
Not a lot to see in this museum but the house has a lot of history. Interesting artefacts and wall displays. Not sure why you cannot go down the stairs you came up from though. The Tudor House and Gardens in Southampton is better, in my opinion. Free entry but optional donation.
A fascinating insight into the people who lived in the house through the centuries, and the history of the house itself (and it's not all good!). The museum is free to enter, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Allow about an hour or so to wander through the rooms. You might want to couple this visit with a visit to the National Trust's "Greyfriars House" along the road. Note that the "Tudor House" does shut for school parties to visit, so check their website before visiting.
Wonderful free museum in Worcester, not far from forgate railway station. donations are welcome but it's free to enter, cafe in the grounds/toilets, lifts to upper floors , disabled friendly. Brilliant small local museum run by the local city council. History events during the year, February part of Worcester history weekend.
