Is it worth going out of your way to visit? I would say it isn't, there are grander places to visit, Its great if you live locally but to travel out of your way, no definitely not, the park and attractions are very small, the prices are high, the park cafe prices are quite absurd. The zoo is tiny and free but everything around it is up to 50% more expensive, pricing just doesn't scale well with its size and quality. The small treetop adveture is a whopping £19 per child and adult, compare that to GoApe and ZipWorld that come in at an average of £17 per person for a family at the UKs largest adventure parks that are 4x bigger. You are also £10 shy of just going to flamingo land on a summer sale ticket for £29. Areas of the park are neglected, the mini-mini golf peppered with debris. Parking machines tend not to work for making card or nfc payment. Online app payment charges a 10% fee ontop parking cost, as of writing its £4.40 to park all day. The summer house is just full of the same heavily reapeted low maintenance plants. Its a shame the grand buildings arent explorable and accessable with a walkthrough museum of their history to make the place more interesting to visit, they are just closed lff to admire from ghe exterior. Closest you can get to being inside is the toilets. Bike museum, got no idea whats going on there... Its simply bizarre and by appointment only, so you cant just turn up and have a peek. Doesn't seem to be worth the bother. The kids will have some fun but you're wallet wont. There are plenty of parks with free large adventure playgounds.

Walton Hall and Gardens is a lovely place for a relaxing day out, especially for families and anyone who enjoys nature. The gardens are beautiful and well maintained, with plenty of green space to walk around and enjoy the scenery. The hall itself has a charming historic atmosphere, while the zoo adds another interesting element to the visit. There are also plenty of walking paths, picnic areas and spots to sit and enjoy the surroundings. The whole place feels peaceful and spacious, making it easy to spend several hours here without feeling rushed. Staff were friendly and the overall environment was clean and pleasant. Parking was convenient as well. Overall, it is a great value day out and definitely worth visiting if you are in the Warrington area. I would happily come back again, especially in good weather when you can fully enjoy the gardens.

Such a fantastic day out! It was a lovely hot day, and the zoo made for a brilliant visit. There is loads of open space to walk around, and the relaxed atmosphere with everyone enjoying themselves made it a really nice place to be. My son absolutely loved it and had an amazing time. Highly recommend for families—we will definitely be coming back!

I booked the Alpaca walk with for my daughter. Peter was great! He was very informative, we learnt so much about both the alpacas and the grounds. Malvec was super well behaved and my daughter was over the moon.

The Gardens were busy as it was Easter school holidays, but we experienced no waiting or queues. The zoo was small but the animals well cared for. Peacocks wandering around in amongst the public delighted children and adults. The play area is very large with plenty of equipment for children to use, including sand play. Some of the displays around the pond and in the individual small gardens were lovely. We sat and had our lunch in one of the small gardens full of vibrant red tulips. The grandchildren really enjoyed the day and the only cost is the car parking on site. Definitely worth a visit.
