I absolutely loved visiting Westgate Gardens. Canterbury in general felt like stepping into a painting, and this spot was especially beautiful. There’s a peaceful stream with really clear water, cute ducklings swimming around, and even people punting, which made it feel very calm and relaxing. It’s perfect for a quiet walk or just sitting and enjoying the view. The town itself is also lovely to explore, with charming cafés and beautiful, aesthetic buildings everywhere. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Canterbury!

Visiting in the summer was a magical experience; the gardens are a vibrant explosion of colors with perfectly maintained flower beds along the River Stour. Walking through the paths with the medieval Westgate Towers in the background feels like stepping back in time. It is the perfect spot for a peaceful stroll or a scenic picnic by the water.
