We came here at the beginning of Autumn the trees were just starting to turn it is a Wonderful place, with great relaxing walks all the way around we spent all day there and think that we still missed bits a brilliant day was had .

We have wanted to visit for a few years and finally booked a stay in the area to do so. Four hours of utter bliss. Weather was kind enough not to spoil it and the paths are well maintained, wide and level. I had prebooked a mobility scooter and the volunteer lady who dealt with me was a delight. She made sure l was competent with it and after signing up, off we went. A brilliant day out and from what we witnessed, appeals to everyone. Young, old, disabled, children, dog walkers just about everyone imaginable. The cafe was great and the food and service excellent. As they obviously have a bit of surplus wood about there are plenty of well.placed locally made seats throughout the area. If you are thinking of going, make the effort now and enjoy the experience. Highly recommended.

One of the most beautiful arboretums in the UK, with an extraordinary collection of trees, wonderful grounds, interesting walks and if you can book a guided walk, the volunteers are so knowledgeable and kind! Great restaurant and delightful gift shop!

This was my first visit to the Nation Arboretum, but it certainly won't be the last. Stunningly beautiful and the shade was a blessing on the hottest day of the year so far. We spent 5 hours wondering around and didn't see half of what was a available to see. We also visited the cafe near the smoke house, the food and service was great, additionally there are loads of places for picnics if you need them.

We had a lovely visit with our two granddaughters who absolutely adored the Gruffalo trail. The landscape and trees are breathtaking. We bought sandwiches for lunch from the cafe which were very tasty but also a tad expensive. £5.99 for a chicken and bacon caesar sandwich on focaccia bread! We will return for other visits.
