I didn't even know Whitby had a break, so I was happy to spend a day in the water! Great little surf shack hiring out all you need for a day in the waves. Mostly soft boards available but there are one or two hard boards. I was given a warmer wetsuit at request and the friendly staff member (Leah) let me take some boots too for extra warmth. I appreciated being offered back the difference on my rental charge as I paid for the full day but was out of the water after only half the day. That's great service. Cheers!

Came here on the last weekend of the summer holidays and tried our luck there would be some kayaks left to hire. Luckily there was and we had a great time exploring the coastline from the water. The lady who looked after us was so nice and very helpful. We hired the kayaks for 1 hour for £16 each, well worth it for the experience we had.

Sadly surf lesson cancelled because the weather was too nice (amazing!) but Leah went out of her way to help find alternatives for us. They also gave us plenty of notice re cancellation. We visit Whitby several times a year and I cannot recommend this place enough. What I would say is that if a lesson is cancelled do try and keep the money in their business through another lesson, or a body board hire or merchandise etc as they truly are at the mercy of the weather!

My son took part in the schools holiday program and had the most amazing time. The staff were so friendly and really helped the kids grow in confidence throughout the week. We would definitely book in again. It’s a great thing for the kids to participate in.

Cracking. Rented a foamy board for a couple of hours surfing, reasonably priced. Great regular waves on the smaller size, fab for beginners as you don't get completely wiped out. Staff member there was super helpful and chatty. Would certainly come again. 🙌
