Just seen a previous review regarding the manager as my friend spotted it and told me to check it out. Completely agree! The manager lady at wivey pool in Wiveliscombe ruins the vibe here (rude and unwelcoming) it’s such a shame as this lido would be a 10/10 if it also had friendly helpful approachable staff but unfortunately we are put off going by the woman running it. Real shame.

As per other reviews regarding the staff at this pool. It’s a shame as the place is great but the manager tries to run this place as a military camp. It should be a relaxing nice place to swim but what I assume is the manager ruins the atmosphere of the place, seems she has some sort of chip on her shoulder. Like I said run like a military camp which makes it hard to relax.

Far away from the continuous flow of M5 holidaymakers, who stream down to the sea, like waves governed by the summer moon, is a secret spot - a body of welcoming water. Wivvy pool is where locals and not so local, locals stealthily swim. And when I say swim, I mean impressively perform. The regulars are the goggled, butterfly, cold water, triathlon, dry robed types. They have a goal, a habit and some serious swimmy skills! This leisure facility, situated among the evergreens, is the habitat of keen residents and nearby amphibians like myself. Though not a bad gold badge swimmer from school days, I mainly go along with a friend, for the sheer joy of lane swimming outdoors. It's immaculately clean, highly organised and life guarded. Parking is just outside the entrance and if you're lucky, you'll be there on the day the community centre, (across the car park) is open for coffee and cake! I don't know about you, but swimming equals an appetite!

What a great little facility! A lovely pool which is well run, clean and tidy, with decent facilities. The only downside was having to queue for about 30 mins after travelling quite a way (no booking faclity). However, it was definitely worth the wait. We'll be back!!

Booked for a chilly swim in early January via the website for a bargain £5 per person for a 40 minute slot. Free parking by the pool, although spaces are limited. Pool and site are very clean. Need to remove shoes when entering the site, which was a cold walk to the unheated changing rooms! Changing cubicles are rustic and no lockers. Pool was heated to around 21° and well organised in lanes. Nice hot showers and clean toilets. A well-organised pool and lovely to have an outdoor, heated swim during the winter ❄️ 🏊‍♂️
