Create your own pottery in a working studio where skilled artists guide you through hands-on clay crafting experiences.

Wolfscastle Pottery is a working pottery studio nestled in the picturesque St. David's Peninsula in Pembrokeshire, Wales. Founded in 1973 by trained designers, the studio is now run by Madeleine and Paul Webb, who create lively, functional stoneware and porcelain pieces decorated with bold Chinese brush strokes in rich glazes ranging from copper reds and mauves to blues and greens. The studio welcomes daily visitors and holiday guests who want to try their hand at pottery and engage in creative activities. Both individuals and groups are welcome to participate in hands-on pottery sessions where they can learn clay techniques and create their own pieces under professional guidance. The venue offers a unique opportunity to experience authentic pottery-making in an inspiring creative environment surrounded by the unspoilt beauty of the Welsh countryside. Wolfscastle Pottery is suitable for families, school groups, and anyone seeking a memorable creative experience. The venue's location on the St. David's Peninsula, with its spectacular coastal scenery and peaceful atmosphere, adds to the appeal of this artistic retreat. Visitors can also explore the gallery to view finished works and gain inspiration from the artists' distinctive style and craftsmanship.

An excellent experience. Paul expertly guided us in pottery making. He was very informative, understanding and we had a thoroughly good time. We came away elated and invigorated. Definitely recommend this experience. We loved the range of pottery for sale.

We booked a pottery session as a family and really enjoyed it. Just had our pots in the post today which was a lovely surprise. We also bought a beautiful piece to take home. Thank you.

Great family experience. Paul was an excellent host and tutor, managing just the right amount of demonstration and support whilst maintaining a very warm and jolly manners. Would definitely recommend if you haven't had the opportunity before or it was some time ago. Lovely venue as well.

My partner booked a pottery making session for us both as a birthday surprise for me, and it was truly one of the greatest gifts I’ve ever received! We had an absolutely brilliant time making our vase and bowl, and came away wanting to immediately book another session. Paul is lovely, and such a wonderful teacher; we’d never done anything like this before and he was so encouraging, helpful, and funny through our whole session. We weren’t able to come back to paint our pieces for a few weeks after we’d made them, but Paul had no issue keeping them safe for us until we were ready. When we did come back to paint we had another great experience, and our pieces were ready to collect just a few days later. We love them, and we can’t wait to get back to Wolfscastle Pottery to make more!

We stayed at the fantastic house owned by the pottery and booked a group pottery session, which was the best thing we have done for ages. Paul is obviously a very experienced potter and managed to guide us through creating something we can actually use - with a great sense of humour. There is also a great pottery shop attached. If you are in the area, I would urge you to book a session then follow up with a visit to the Wolfe Inn!
