Explore Northern Ireland's only owl, bird of prey and exotic animal centre, home to one of the UK's largest collections of owls and rescued wildlife.

World of Owls is a multi-award-winning animal education centre and registered charity dedicated to the care and conservation of rescued owls, birds of prey, reptiles, and exotic animals. Located in Randalstown Forest, Antrim, the centre houses one of the most varied collections of owls in the UK and Ireland, featuring species from around the world. Visitors can enjoy interactive experiences meeting the animals and learning about their behaviour, biology, and conservation through the centre's "Education by Enjoyment" approach. The venue is open to the public without requiring advance booking, making it accessible for families seeking outdoor and indoor attractions. As a self-funded working rescue centre, World of Owls operates with a focus on animal welfare rather than typical theme park experiences. The centre caters to families of all ages and is particularly renowned for its educational programs, with NI Education Authority-approved school visits offered throughout the year. The facility has received numerous accolades, including TripAdvisor's Best Small Visitor Attraction for Northern Ireland and World Host Customer Service Excellence Award. A bit different, but worthwhile as far as I was concerned. All the owls were visible. The various volunteers and handlers all seemed to be fully upto speed with all the birds. We came in around 1430 and birds were all being cleaned and fed.

Amazing experience. I’ve always loved owls. The owls here are obviously well looked after. The information was really good. And there were lots to see. But the best bit was the private experience. So relaxed and plenty of time to enjoy meeting and handling Nero. I’m so sorry I didn’t write this sooner cos now I can’t remember the volunteers name. I think it was Leanne (apologies if that’s wrong). Anyway she was so friendly interesting and knowledgeable and made our visit so special.

My friend and I visited World of Owls on Saturday (16/05) and had the most incredible time! We had booked the additional Owl Experience and got to meet & hold Nero the Eurasian Eagle Owl, he was very tame and gentle. Highly recommend booking the experience, it was the highlight of our day! Liana who led the experience was incredible, she was full of knowledge about every bird at the sanctuary!
