We love this place, particularly the Skatepark, climbing and caving. Even more so now, with the Lost Mine Adventure on the caving. My son and his friends had a great time. The theming was fab and their guide Eowyn was great with them.
Very decent climbing wall for the size. Routes were quite reachy and grades quite spicy (6a + felt more like 6b). All routes seem to be set by the same person so that narrows the style a bit. Very clean, lovely staff, good cafe and good variety of autobelay , top rope and leading. Doesn't have great insulation so not sure how good it's in winter but I would definitely recommend it.
We had a brilliant time at XC - Climbing & Skatepark. I visited with my son and his friends, and they all really enjoyed themselves. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and helpful, which made the experience even better. It’s a great place for kids to have fun, stay active, and try something different. We’ll definitely be coming back!
I emailed this feedback to XC last weekend, the day after the class, and feel (a few days since) it’s important to put it publicly too. We did the mini mountaineers class with our three year old. We felt the class was expensive for just two climbs per child, that there wasn’t much energy and instruction for the children, that there needed to be two instructors to allow for more climbs, but most crucially, a full body harness should be used for this age range in case they flip upside down.
Amazing place. my daughter came for the second time and she is happy. our instructor was very helpful. of course we will come back again. if only the price was a little less high, especially for a birthday. and it is too cold inside to climb so be prepared to dress warmer
