What a view! Really amazing and historical site. The shop and cafe were also great. We thought we might stay for a short time, but ended up staying and enjoying everything much longer than expected.

Wales is prime for incredible castles and, Carreg Cennen is up there with the best. There's a free car park near by with tea room and gift shop. The castle entrance up a fairly big climb with a pay booth half way up, the young man inside was very friendly and welcoming. The castle... wow!! Its presents on the hill is just breath taking and if you have good weather you get treated to incredible views across the Welsh valleys. You are free to roam and its truly amazing to see what's left. There are information boards doted around that give insight to how it once was. Make sure you go down into the cave!! This took our breath away with how exciting it was to go down there, you'll need a torch (phone torch is fine) to see where you're going, well worth the effort.

Absolutely breathtaking views. The trek up there is steep but well worth it! Our 3 year old loved exploring the ruins and the secret little rooms. We didn't venture into the dungeon this time, but we will be back for sure! Free car parking onsite and plenty to explore! A lovely little cafe and food, which overlooks more of the amazing countryside ♡

Absolutely loved this place, its quite magical. Views from the top are amazing and we had lovely food in the tearoom at the bottom of the hill. We even got to see some of the cattle in the barns. Make sure you go down into the caves under the castle but wear decent boots/shoes!

Absolutely beautiful place. The walk around the castle is stunning, the vuews are to die for. The homemade dishes and cake are spectacular. If you are in a group, order food first and then come back to it ready for eating. It has its own chapel for weddings. The barn is a superb place to hold a wedding feast too. x
