Lovely place to visit, free, easy to park and about 45 minutes of puttering around the ruins

A very cool ruin with lots of taller structures you don’t see too often at castle ruins! The earthen mound circling the castle had some beautiful blue bells popping up during our visit in the spring. The parking is not very plentiful. About enough space for 6 cars (if everyone is parking respectfully haha)

Coity is a lovely place to visit with family, especially if you have kids. The peaceful countryside makes it perfect for a relaxed walk, and there’s plenty of open space for children to explore safely. A short stroll takes you to St. Mary’s Church, Coity, a beautiful 14th-century church that adds a sense of history and adventure to the visit. Kids can enjoy imagining what life was like in medieval times, while adults appreciate the stunning architecture and calm surroundings. It’s a simple, scenic, and educational day out that combines fresh air, history, and quality family time.

Take time to have a look at the remains of this beautiful ancient monument. It's part of our history and heritage in South Wales and gives us an understanding of how our modern world was created by our forefathers.

It's a lovely castle that you can walk around and through. Very photogenic and compact with plenty of structure left to get a sense of how it used to be. There is a small playpark next to it to keep the kids amused for a bit and it's a pretty little village. Parking at the castle is very limited, so you might need to find street parking elsewhere.
